Apple on Monday seeded the eighth beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan to developers for testing. The release took place about two weeks after the release of the seventh OS X 10.11 beta and more than two months after the official announcement of the operating system at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference back in June. Alongside OS X El Capitan Beta 8 for developers, the guys from Cupertino seeded OS X El Capitan Beta 6 for the members of the public testing program. Apple’s ‘Slide to Unlock’ Patents Acknowledged Invalid in Germany



Apple’s patents covering the ‘slide to unlock' feature are invalid in Germany. The Federal Court of Appeals in Karlsruhe has recently ruled that the aforementioned feature is similar to the feature introduced in the phone released by a Swedish company Neonode back in 2006 and thus can’t be covered with a separate patent. According to the latest report from Reuters reporters, this decision reaffirms the same ruling made by the Federal Patent Court in 2013.
