Apple Won't Develop iPad mini, Will Focus on iPad Pro

According to the latest report from Taiwan’s Economic Daily News, Apple is currently planning to stop the development of the iPad mini to focus on the new project, which deals with the larger-screened iPad Pro. This year's iPad mini 3, the reporters claim, became the last Apple's product of its kind. While the guys from Cupertino haven't yet commented in the issue, such a step looks quite possible and logical. You see, the smaller tablet can be now substituted by the 5.5-inch iPhone, which is a bit smaller, but large enough for comfortable web-browsing, reading or playing games. For all the other things there's a normal full-size iPad.

Apple Remains World's Top Tablet Vendor - IDC

According to the latest reports from J.D Power and IDC, Apple currently remains world's top tablet manufacturer with 22.8% market share and 12.3 million iPad units shipped in the third quarter of this year. Still, the researchers claim that Apple's tablet sales are weaker than in the year-ago quarter. Apple CEO Tim Cook Is 'Proud to Be Gay'

In a letter written for Bloomberg Businessweek, Tim Cook declared his support for human equality and for the first time publicly admitted that he's gay. Net Cost of iPad Air 2 Components Is $275 - IHS Experts

A research firm called IHC has recently torn down Apple's new iPad Air 2 to find out how much money the guys from Cupertino spend on the hardware for their flagship tablet. As usual, the net cost of components is much lower than the actual price of the device, however, we should not forget that this cost does not include the price of assembly, transportation costs etc. Anyway, the experts claim that Apple spends about $275 on the 16GB version of the iPad Air 2, which is one dollar more than the net price of the last-year iPad Air. Keep in mind that this is the basic model; all the other are more expensive to assemble.
