Apple Seeds iOS 10.3.2 Beta 4 and macOS Sierra 10.12.5 Beta 4 to Developers



Apple has released iOS 10.3.2 Beta 4 and macOS Sierra 10.12.5 Beta 4 to developers for testing. The updates contain bug fixes and security improvements. No details about new features have surfaced so far.

The fourth beta of iOS 10.3.2 has a build number 14F5086a and features enhancements for Siri and third-party VPN services compatibility. There are no other noticeable changes.

macOS Sierra 10.12.5 Beta 4 is a minor update with a build number 16F67a. According to Apple, the update improves the stability, compatibility, and security of macOS and compatible computers.

If you have a developer account, you can download and test the latest software right now. Back up your devices before installing  iOS 10.3.2 Beta 4 and macOS Sierra 10.12.5 Beta 4.

Suppliers Face Difficulties with iPhone 8 Production – Analyst



According to the latest report from usually reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 8 production may be delayed until October–November due to difficulties with some components. Still, if new features like the OLED display or new 3D-sensing system function properly, the demand for the handset will be strong in the first quarter of 2018 just like in the launch September quarter.

Apple Is Getting Ready for Autonomous Vehicle Testing [Images]



New details about Apple’s secret autonomous car program have surfaced online.

According to the documents shared by Business Insider, the system Apple is working on is called “Apple Automated System”. The company is using three Lexus RX450h SUVs equipped with Logitech steering wheel and pedals to control the car by wire. The test drivers pass several tests and trainings before getting into the car as they need to be ready to take control over the autonomous vehicle at any time.

iPhone ASP to $753 in 2018 – Analyst



According to the latest report from Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty, the average selling price of the iPhone will rise dramatically in 2018. During the last holiday quarter, iPhone ASP was $695, while in 2018 it may rise to $753 due to new features and design of the OLED iPhone 8. Another possible reason is the fact that customers are now choosing ‘Plus’ models more often than smaller handsets. Larger iPhones are more expensive, and this influences the average selling price.

Galaxy Note 8 to Feature Dual Camera – Analyst



According to the research note shared by usually-reliable KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and obtained by 9to5Google, the Galaxy Note 8 may get a dual camera similar to the one the iPhone 7 Plus has. The expert believes that the camera will become “the most important upgrade” of the device. Kuo also revealed that the handset will get a 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED display along with Exynos 8895 or Snapdragon MSM8998 processor, depending on the country.

Japanese reporters from Macotakara believe the next-generation iPhone has reached the DVT (Design Validation Test) stage ahead of start of mass production later this year. According to the latest report from Andy Hargreaves, equity research analyst at Pacific Crest Securities, the iPhone 8 may lack the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. Apple Will Test Self-Driving Cars in California



Apple may soon start testing self-driving cars in California. According to the latest report from Business Insider, on Friday, California authorities officially issued the Cupertino giant the Autonomous Vehicle Testing Permit. Apple was added to the list of companies that have permission to test self-driving cars in the state. Aside from Apple, Google and Tesla have similar permissions.
