First lucky customers in the selected countries begin to receive their pre-ordered iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus units and post first unboxing videos, drop tests and bend tests of the recently-launched devices. Adrienne Levin, a customer from the United States of America, was lucky enough to receive her pre-ordered iPhone 6s much earlier than she was expecting. Knowing that there are almost no reviews and benchmarks of the long-awaited handset, she took several photos of her dog using the updated 12-megapixel camera of her Rose Gold iPhone 6s, shot a short 4K video and posted the results of Geekbench 3 benchmark to show us all performance improvements of the new handset.

Now that Apple released iOS 9 to users worldwide, many people are curious about how fast is this version of Apple’s mobile operating system. It’s no secret that system performance depends on the hardware, so if you’re using an iPhone 4s with iOS 9, it will be slightly slower than the iPhone 6 with iOS 9 on board.

9to5Mac reporters have recently shot and shared a good video showing how the system performance of iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 with iOS 8.4.1 is different from system performance of the same devices with iOS 9 installed. The reporters compared the boot time, application load speed, and used a benchmark to check the overall performance. In almost all cases, iOS 9 turned out to be slightly slower than iOS 8.4.1. The browsing and Wi-Fi performance are better, though.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has recently called Apple’s iPhone with a number of Microsoft apps on board an 'iPhone Pro'. During a meeting called the Salesforce Dreamforce conference, Satya Nadella demonstrated such apps as Skype, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Sway, Outlook and claimed the latter one was the best mail application currently available for users of all platforms. Microsoft CEO explained that he’s not the owner of the phone and that it is used just for demo purposes.

Even though Apple has patched a number of vulnerabilities used for untethered jailbreak of iOS 8.4, looks like there's still a lot of work to be done about the security of iOS 9 that is expected to be released to public next week. As shown in the video that has been posted by a well-known hacker nicknamed iH8sn0w, iOS 9 is jailbreakable. The developer and author of such tools as sn0wbreeze and iFaith has perfectly demonstrated his jailbreak, which means we may soon see a new tool for hacking iOS 9. A couple of weeks ago, a rumor appeared on the Internet that suggested that the iPhone 6s will get a smaller battery size and capacity than the iPhone 6. The rumor was accidentally proven by Apple in the iPhone 6s Introduction Video. Attentive users managed to see that the battery has a capacity of 1715mAh, which is noticeably lower than the capacity of the battery found in the iPhone 6 (1810mAh).

Apple has introduced a new feature to the iPhone 6s called 'Live Photos'. Watch the video below to get a feel for how Live Photos work on the iPhone.

Live Photos are a new way to bring still photos to life. They capture the moments—including motion and sound—just before and after your picture, turning those instants into living memories. Relive them anytime simply by pressing anywhere on the photo.

Need to stream Apple’s live event on a Windows machine? Like last time, Apple’s iPad/Mac Oct. 16 press event won’t be streaming on Windows and this time around requires Safari on a Mac, iOS device or an Apple TV. That means that Windows users will have to figure how to get the stream going using the workaround we posted last time.

You’ll need to download VLC player and check back here tomorrow for the final streaming link to complete the instructions:

2. Install it.
3. Open VLC. Click Media (top left) > Open Network Stream.

6. An “Unable to open the MRU file …”  will appear until the stream has started.

Apple is expected to unveil a new iPad Air, iPad mini, and Retina iMac alongside other possibilities and a release date for OS X Yosemite. The live stream will require Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later. Mac and iOS users can stream the event through Apple’s website here when it kicks off at 10 a.m. PDT tomorrow.

Requirements: Live streaming uses Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires a second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.

According to the latest report from John Paczkowski of BuzzFeed, the next-generation Apple TV, which is expected to be unveiled at a media event devoted to the iPhone 6s and iPad mini 4 on September 9th, will get a price tag of $149 and finally boast of one great feature. This great feature is universal search that will allow users to see the search results from all possible sources in one single place.

I’ve got some good news for music fans. Apple has just released two new Apple Music ads featuring featuring The Weeknd and John Travolta. Well, actually these are not two separate clips, but a two-part commercial with single theme and message. The ad was first shown to public on Sunday night during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
