Updated MacBook Pro Models Can Be Released Soon

As 9to5Mac reports, all current models of MacBook Pro line are constrained and new part numbers for models with 17, 15, and 13 inch screens sizes appeared in Apple’s inventory system. Last month it was reported that Apple planned to increase processor speeds across all current MacBook Pro models.

Also earlier this year rumors had it that a full redesign of MacBook Pro models was planned after the release of Intel's Ivy Bridge in 2012. However, Brian White from Ticonderoga said in a research note that a lighter and thinner MacBook Pro models without optical disk drive will be launched over next weeks.

But it is unlikely that this update will be a full-scale redesign that Ticonderoga heard about. According to 9to5Mac, code names for new MacBook Pro line are K92A (17 inch), K91A (15 inch), K90IA (13 inch). The A in these codes means that next refresh will be relatively minor.
