Google mobile search now includes iPhone App Store links
Starting from today Google allows looking for iPhone apps on its mobile search page. The feature was announced on its official Mobile Blog. The idea, according to software engineers Paul Hadfield and Milena Nikolic, was to help users quickly download a necessary application while searching information about it.
The application will show up at the top of the search results on page. When you click on it, the App Store will be launched and take you to the appropriate page. Along with the link for application user can see its creator’s name and user reviews.
There is also an option for “more results for your iPhone”, that allows to automatically search App store for the relevant software.
The search for apps is not yet available for iPad that allows access to the desktop version of Google search. In general, it is available for Android and iPhone handsets and only in the U.S. Other countries will have this feature later, according to Google.
