Experts Discovered the Relation Between Battery Age and Older iPhone Models’ Performance

iOS 11.2.1 for iPhone and iPad Released



Apple released iOS 11.2.1 where fixed some bugs and vulnerabilities. This includes the fix for iPhone autofocus camera issue and bringing back the HomeKit functionality that has been temporarily disabled due to a security issue.

Apple Became Top Wearables Vendor – Analyst



According to the latest report shared by Strategy Analytics, Apple has overtaken Fitbit and become the largest wearables vendor in the world. During the last calendar quarter, the company shipped 3.5 million Apple Watch units and took 15.9% of global market. In the first quarter of 2016, Apple’s market share was 12.1% and the shipments accounted for 2.2 million units.

Apple has stopped signing iOS 10.2.1 and iOS 10.3, which means restores and downgrades to these versions are no longer possible. Be careful if you want to stay on one of these firmware builds. If you update your device accidentally, you won’t be able to restore it to anything apart from iOS 10.3.1 or iOS 10.3.2 beta if you’re a developer or public beta tester.

iOS 10.2.1 Prevents iPhone 6 and 6s from Unexpected Shutdowns



Last year, a problem with some iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s units was found that resulted in unexpected shutdowns of these devices. To make the smartphones work again, owners had to plug them in. In a statement shared with TechCrunch, Apple revealed that iOS 10.2.1 that is now installed on 50% of active devices has helped to reduce the number of iPhone users suffering from the problem.

Apple has stopped signing iOS 10.2, which means it is no longer possible to downgrade or restore your device to this firmware version. If you’re on iOS 10.2 right now, it is recommended that your upgrade to iOS 10.2.1, unless you have jailbroken your device. In this case, it’s better to stay on iOS 10.2 and be careful not to install the latest version by accident.
