The user must force quit the app and relaunch.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"Apple TV\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW5\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>Apple TV<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>In some cases the screen may show the wrong resolution. Restart your Apple TV to return it to the correct resolution.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Netflix videos may not resume where you left off.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> Some videos may not resume after  fast-forwarding or rewinding. Press the Menu button on the remote to  back out and play the video again.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> The Play\/Pause button may not pause music that is playing in the background. Go to the Now Playing screen to pause music.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>The History list in the YouTube app gets cleared when you exit and reenter the app.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Apple TV may be slow to respond while a download is in progress in the background.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Apple TV may restart while using the Remote app.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"Bonjour\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW15\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>Bonjour<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The <code><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/library\/prerelease\/ios\/documentation\/Cocoa\/Reference\/Foundation\/Classes\/NSNetService_Class\/Reference\/Reference.html#\/\/apple_ref\/occ\/cl\/NSNetService\" target=\"_blank\">NSNetService<\/a><\/code> class  and CFNetService APIs do not include P2P interfaces by default. To  browse, register, or resolve services over P2P interfaces, an app needs  to use the Bonjour <code>DNSService*()<\/code> APIs noted below.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Setting the <em>interfaceIndex<\/em> parameter to <code>kDNSServiceInterfaceIndexAny<\/code> in the following API\u2019s will not include P2P interfaces by default. To include P2P interfaces, you must now set the <code>kDNSServiceFlagsIncludeP2P<\/code> flag when using <code>kDNSServiceInterfaceIndexAny<\/code> or set the interfaceIndex to <code>kDNSServiceInterfaceIndexP2P<\/code>. The affected APIs are:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><code>DNSServiceBrowse<\/code><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><code>DNSServiceRegister<\/code><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><code>DNSServiceResolve<\/code><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><code>DNSServiceRegisterRecord<\/code><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><code>DNSServiceQueryRecord<\/code><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"Game Center\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW6\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>Game Center<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> Peer-to-peer connectivity will not work  under certain network conditions, including devices being behind  double-NAT topologies, connecting between AT&T and Verizon networks,  or connecting with an international carrier.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> The Game Center friend request UI may hang  for up to 10 seconds, and may become unresponsive. Quitting and  relaunching the app will resolve this issue.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> Viewing the game invite or automatch UI  inside your app may crash it when not in the Game Center Sandbox  environment. Games using Sandbox will not be affected.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> Turn timeouts in turn-based games will be 1\/1000 of what is specified when calling the <code><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/library\/prerelease\/ios\/documentation\/GameKit\/Reference\/GKTurnBasedMatch_Ref\/Reference\/Reference.html#\/\/apple_ref\/occ\/instm\/GKTurnBasedMatch\/endTurnWithNextParticipants:turnTimeout:matchData:completionHandler:\" target=\"_blank\">endTurnWithNextParticipants:turnTimeout:matchData:completionHandler:<\/a><\/code> method of <code>GKTurnBasedMatch<\/code>. This will be fixed in a future seed.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> When running Game Center-enabled apps in  iOS Simulator, developers logging into Game Center are interacting with  the live production server and data.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>To work around this problem, developers working on new projects as  well as projects that require iTunesConnect metadata should work on  actual devices instead of the simulator. Developers who have published  apps already in the App Store and who wish to develop using the  simulator can use the new iOS 6 features; however, they must be aware  they are interacting with live production players, scores and  achievements.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>When creating a new Game Center account in-app on the iPad, the  popover for selecting the month for your date of birth shows up with no  content to select.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>The <code>authenticate<\/code> method of <code><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/library\/prerelease\/ios\/documentation\/GameKit\/Reference\/GKLocalPlayer_Ref\/Reference\/Reference.html#\/\/apple_ref\/occ\/cl\/GKLocalPlayer\" target=\"_blank\">GKLocalPlayer<\/a><\/code> has been removed. Authentication will automatically commence when the completion handler is set.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"iCloud\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW14\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>iCloud<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>When creating an iCloud account, you can use any Apple ID as long  as it is a full email address and not a MobileMe account. If you have a  MobileMe account, you must move that account to iCloud. While Mobile Me  will be available until Jun 30th, 2012, logging in with a MobileMe  account is not supported in iOS 6. You can find more information at: <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/developer.apple.com\/icloud\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/me.com\/move<\/a><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Provisioning profiles must be enabled for iCloud in the iOS  Provisioning Portal. To enable a provisioning profile for iCloud,  navigate to the App ID section of the iOS Provisioning Portal and  configure your App ID for iCloud. After enabling the App ID for iCloud,  regenerate your provisioning profiles to enable them for iCloud.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>The <code><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/library\/prerelease\/ios\/documentation\/Cocoa\/Reference\/Foundation\/Classes\/NSMetadataQuery_Class\/Reference\/Reference.html#\/\/apple_ref\/occ\/instm\/NSMetadataQuery\/setSortDescriptors:\" target=\"_blank\">setSortDescriptors:<\/a><\/code> method of <code>NSMetadataQuery<\/code> is not supported.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>In iOS 6, files that are protected via Data Protection cannot be used with iCloud Storage APIs.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>File names are case-insensitive in OS X but case-sensitive in iOS.  This can lead to problems when sharing files between the two platforms  using iCloud. You should take steps on iOS to avoid creating files whose  names differ only by case.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> Setup Assistant will crash if a new account  is created during initial setup. The account will actually be created,  and the user can login and use it afterwards. The crash does not happen  with existing accounts.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"iMessage & FaceTime\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW7\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>iMessage & FaceTime<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The Answer and Decline buttons are missing when receiving calls in landscape orientations.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> If you erase restore your device, you need to reboot your device in order to send attachments through iMessage.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> If you change your password for iMessage or FaceTime, you must toggle these services off and on again in settings.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>For iMessage, toggle the Settings > Messages > iMessage switch.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>For FaceTime, toggle the Settings > FaceTime > FaceTime switch.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"IOKit\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW8\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>IOKit<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> SpringBoard\/BackBoard may crash during a phone call if the screen fades to black when using speakerphone or headphones.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"iTunes\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW9\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>iTunes<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>iTunes 10.6.3 is required for iOS SDK 6.0.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> Wi-Fi Sync with iOS 6 and iTunes 10.6.3  does not work when the device is locked and not connected to power. It  can sometimes fail even when connected to power. In that case, rebooting  the device may resolve the issue.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>When restoring from an iTunes backup, the device intermittently  shows up as new device after rebooting. If that happens, set up the  device as a \u201cnew device\u201d when prompted to restore for the 2nd time. All  data should have been restored correctly but sync settings including App  arrangement in iTunes are lost.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"Maps\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW10\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>Maps<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>In iOS 6 and later, Map Kit is built on a new infrastructure hosted  by Apple. Earlier iOS releases will continue to use Google\u2019s service.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>API compatibility will be maintained (see known issues below).<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Maps are now supported in the Simulator.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Map data will continue to evolve\u2014only a limited amount of high resolution satellite imagery is currently available.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>If Maps is not running in the background, a \u201cMaps cannot connect to  the internet\u201d error is displayed when it is launched from a 3rd party  app.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>If Maps has not yet been launched, the current location does not show up when it is launched from a 3rd-party app.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Routing apps that do not specify a coverage file during development will always be displayed in the Maps routing search results.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Testing and debugging of coverage files for routing apps is only  supported during development through the Xcode \u201cRun\u201d workflow. (You can  specify the coverage file for a given Run scheme using the Options pane  of the Run section of the scheme editor.) Apps that are archived and  distributed (outside of the App Store) onto devices will not have access  to the app\u2019s coverage files.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Maps does not zoom into the current location when launched from a 3rd party app.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"Movie Player\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW11\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>Movie Player<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> After restoring videos from an iCloud  backup, the video thumbnails for all titles display the same poster  image (obtained from one of the titles in the list), as opposed to each  displaying its own poster image.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"Reminders\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW22\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>Reminders<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>There are issues when adding and editing reminders in the Reminders app on iPhone devices:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>The Done button is missing when adding a new reminder.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>The app crashes when you tap the Edit button to edit a reminder.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"Security\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW25\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>Security<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>In iOS 5, signing a certificate with an MD5 signature is not  supported. Please ensure that certificates use signature algorithms  based on SHA1 or SHA2.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>In iOS 6, the system now protects Calendars, Reminders, Contacts,  and Photos as part of Apple\u2019s data isolation privacy initiative.<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Users will see access dialogs when an app tries to access any of  those data types. The user can switch access on and off in Settings >  Privacy.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Developers can set a \u201cpurpose\u201d string for each class of isolated  data. iOS displays this string to users to help them understand why  their data is being requested. These strings can be added using Xcode\u2019s  Project editor, in the Info tab. The relevant key names begin with the  string \u201cPrivacy -\u201d.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>There are changes to the Event Kit and Address Book frameworks to help developers with this feature.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"Simulator\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW12\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>Simulator<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div><strong>FIXED:<\/strong> The back button for navigation controllers on the Retina iOS Simulators does not render properly.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>The app delete confirmation alert panel takes a while to show up on the iOS Simulator.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Tapping the buy button in the view of an <code><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/library\/prerelease\/ios\/documentation\/StoreKit\/Reference\/SKITunesProductViewController_Ref\/Introduction\/Introduction.html#\/\/apple_ref\/occ\/cl\/SKStoreProductViewController\" target=\"_blank\">SKStoreProductViewController<\/a><\/code> object in iOS Simulator causes the app to crash.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>No privacy alerts are displayed in iOS Simulator for apps that access Photos, Contacts, Calendar and Reminders.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Downloading in-app purchase hosted content in iOS Simulator is not supported.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>When attempting to play an MP3 sound in the Simulator, you will hear a popping sound instead.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Using the iOS 5.1 SDK with the iPad (Retina) profile will result in  a SpringBoard crash. The iOS 5.1 SDK works with all other profiles and  the iPad (Retina) SDK works with the iOS 6.0 SDK.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Ads of type <code>ADAdTypeMediumRectangle<\/code> do not appear in iPad Simulator.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"font-size:1em;\"><a title=\"Shared Photo Stream\" name=\"13824b4039e4a993_\/\/apple_ref\/doc\/uid\/TP40012166-CH1-SW16\"><\/a><\/h6>\n<h3>Shared Photo Stream<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>User must go to Settings > iCloud to ensure that they receive Shared Photo Stream Notifications.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>In order to share a Photo Stream with iOS 6 beta, you must invite  someone using their iCloud email address or they will not receive the  invitation.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Upgrading from iOS 6 beta 1 to beta 2 will cause your device to re-download all of your Shared Photo Streams.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>The Shared Photo Stream feature is set to OFF when updating from  iOS 6 beta 1 to a later release.
