A Guy from California Sues Tim Cook over iOS 7 Automatic Update Mechanism
A guy from California has decided to sue Apple CEO Tim Cook. The user is for some reason dissatisfied with over-the-air update mechanism that makes it easier to get and install the latest version of the firmware.
According to ,
Mark Menacher, a resident of Poway, Calif., filed a small-claims complaint against Apple's CEO Tim Cook in the Superior Court of California in San Diego on Thursday, asking for the removal of the iOS 7 install file -- something that's downloaded to devices automatically when they're connected to power and a Wi-Fi connection.
That file does not install iOS 7 on a device without user interaction, though does prompt users to do so every time they restart their device.
Whether this disgruntled user will be able to win a court case is quite obvious, I guess.

Сам 7ку не ставил и пока не собираюсь, но меня бы тоже тоже не порадовали лишние пару сотен Мб (врятли меньше будут весить апдейты типа 7.1), "которые автоматически загружаются" на мой 4s с 16 Гб на борту. Итак не хватает места.

Парня можно понять, но подавать в суд на гендиректора огромной корпорации... Это скорее вопрос к разработчикам.
Хотя так он побольше внимания к проблеме может привлечь, это да.

Мне кажется, что проблема раздута из ничего. Купертинцы просто заботятся о нас: хотят чтобы мы обновляли свои продукты, так как это улучшает стабильность системы. А тот чувак просто захотел пиара. Суд не на его стороне будет, я так думаю.
