Infinity Blade 2 Arrives In The App Store

Chair Entertainment launched a sequel of its Infinity Blade in Apple Stores. The original version became the first iOS game running on the Unreal Engine and also the best-selling iOS game with 1,6 millions downloads just in four days after its release.

This app can really showcase what is possible on iOS and some gamers buy the hardware just to play this game. Here’s the short description:

“Journey into the world of the Deathless tyrants and their legion of Titans. Build skills and upgrade characters… all while delving deeper into this mysterious, timeless adventure”.

This title includes forty new locations (compared to ten in the original version), many new weapons, spells, hit points and many other improvements. IGN.com. has previewed the game and gave it the highest 10 scores. The best aspect of the game is of course graphics with its console-level lighting effects.

The game runs fine on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, third and fourth-gen iPod touch and original iPad. However,  on optimized iPad 2 and iPhone 4s the game can really show what’s possible on A5 chips, especially in the shading and lighting effects.

More details about the game you can find at the official site. This morning the game appeared in the New Zealand App Store and later today it is expected to hit the U.S. App Store. The game is available for $9.99 and the price for the original version was slashed just to six dollars for a limited time.
