Apple Stops Signing iOS 9, Releases New iOS 10 Beta



Apple has stopped signing iOS 9.3.5, which means it is no longer possible to downgrade or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to this version of firmware. Along with that, the company did the same thing to iOS 10.0.1.

Apple Releases iOS 10.1 Beta 4 to Developers and Public Testers



Apple has released iOS 10.1 beta 4 to developers and those users who have a valid public beta tester account. Both software versions contain some improvements and bug fixes and have build numbers 14B72 and 14B72b respectively.

iOS 10.1 brings new Portrait camera mode to the iPhone 7 Plus and has a number of under-the-hood enhancements. The public release date of the new firmware version remains unknown at the moment.

If you have a developer or a public tester account and a compatible iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can download and install the update right now. Don’t forget to back up your device in case something goes wrong during the update.

Apple Seeds iOS 10.1 Beta 2 to Public Testers



Apple has released the second beta of iOS 10.1 to public testers. The release comes one day after the release of the same build to developers.

The update contains a number of bug fixes and stability improvements. In particular, Apple has fixed an issue causing the Notes app quit unexpectedly. The company also recommends the users who face the problem go to Settings - iCloud, disable and then enable the Notes once again. This should help.

iOS 10.1 brought the long-awaited ‘Portrait’ mode to the Camera app on the iPhone 7 Plus. It also contains some fixes for multitasking that make the open apps stay active in the background.

Apple Plans to Improve Apple Watch Health Tracking Features



According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, Apple is currently working on expanding the health and fitness-tracking functionality of watchOS on the Apple Watch. In particular, the company is developing a new sleep and heart rate monitoring apps for the wearable device. Apart from that, Apple wants to substantially improve the functionality of HealthKit and the Health app. The company reportedly plans to make the HealthKit platform a “tool that improves diagnoses”; this includes engaging professional doctors and sharing the patients’ data with them.

Apple Releases Public Betas of macOS 10.12.1 and iOS 10.1



Apple has released first betas of macOS Sierra 10.12.1 and iOS 10.1 to public testers. Both software versions contain several bug fixes and minor improvements aimed at making macOS and iOS more stable and efficient. The latter one also features a new Portrait camera mode for the iPhone 7 Plus. Apple has seeded new public betas one day after the release of the developer builds.

If you have a compatible device and an account of the public software tester, you can download, install, and test macOS Sierra 10.12.1 and iOS 10.1 right now. However, if you expect to see new features or any other major changes, there’s no need to do this. Apple hasn’t yet included anything particularly interesting to the updates.

iOS 10 Has Been Jailbroken… Again



Luca Todesco has successfully jailbroken iOS 10. Below you can take a look at the video showing the process of jailbreak as well as the iPad running the latest iOS 10 beta and Cydia. The tool used to hack the device is called yaluX and is compatible with 64-bit devices i.e. those with the A7 processor or newer on board.
