Сегодня компания Apple опубликовала следующее заявление:

Мы продали более 500,000 устройств iPads за первую неделю продаж. Спрос сильно превышает наши ожидания. У нас также много предварительных заказов на конец апреля.

В связи с этим, мы приняли сложное решение - отложить дату начала продаж в других странах на один месяц, на конец мая. Мы сообщим цены и начнем принимать предварительные заказы 10 мая, в понедельник.

Стоит отметить,  что iPad неофициально доступен во многих странах. Однако цены превышают американские минимум в два-три раза.

Версия iPad со встроенным 3G-модулем не была сфотографирована на презентации устройства, однако ее изображения есть на официальном сайте Apple.

Единственным заметным отличием от WiFi-версии является черная полоса из пластика на задней стороне устройства. Она находится в верхней части и также заметна спереди. Пластик необходим для лучшего приема 3G-сигналов внутренней антенной.

Подобное отличие заставляет задуматься – возможно ли, что iPad 3G будет иметь лучший WiFi-сигнал, чем его обычная версия? Ведь известно, что у iPod Touch также есть пластиковый элемент, упрощающий доступ беспроводного сигнала ко внутренней антенне.
