Ahead of the official release of the long-anticipated Apple Watch, which is expected to take place on March 9th, more and more details about the functionality and design of the gadget leak online. According to the most-recent report published by The New York Times journalists, the wearable device will boast of a "Power Reserve" mode. This mode will disable all the other features of the smartwatch and display only time in order to save energy when battery is critically low. Apart from that, the reporters claim that the official release of the Apple Watch should have come a bit earlier, however, due to some technical differences and the loss of several key engineers who left the company in 2014, it comes only now.

A strange car with a complicated system of cameras on the roof has been recently spotted in Concord, CA. How is this car connected with Apple? Well, reporters and analysts claim the vehicle is either a mapping car similar to those Google uses to improve its maps and develop the Street View feature, or a self-driving car from the future. Here's How Chongqing Apple Store Looks Like [Images]



Tomorrow, the guys from Cupertino will open a new flagship store in China. It is located in the city of Chongqing, which is one of the largest economic and financial centres of China. Earlier today, a couple of images showing the exterior and interior design of the new location appeared on the Internet. Well, I must admit that in terms of size and beauty, the Chongqing store is very similar to the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue in New York.

Apple Made Samsung Main A-Series Chip Supplier



According to the latest report from The Korea Times, Apple has made Samsung its primary chip supplier. 80% of orders for 14-nanometer processors will go to the South-Korean manufacturer starting 2016. As to the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), it will get the remaining 20% of orders, which is also pretty good for this firm.

Security researchers from Palo Alto Networks have recently discovered a new type of malware. This malware is called WireLurker and it infects both iOS devices and Mac OS X computers. Over the past six months, a wide number of users mainly from China have encountered with this piece of malware. The researchers claim that WireLurker is a complete new threat and it can possibly open the new era in the creation of malware attacking both Apple's desktop and mobile platforms.

Apple to Announce Beats Acquisition This Week



The company from Cupertino will officially announce Beats Electronics acquisition this week, The New York Post reports. The sum of acquisition is slightly lower than we expected.

As it was mentioned last week, Apple planned to purchase Beats for about $3.2 billion. As it turns out, the sum for some reason has been reduced to $3 billion.

Apple Acquires Beats Electronics - Rumor



Apple may soon acquire Beats Electronics, the headphone manufacturer and the company behind one of the most popular streaming music services. The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and The New York Times have confirmed that Apple is currently in talks with Beats Electronics.
