This past Saturday Apple posted a new support page, a simple list of all the carriers currently selling iPhone 3G’s and which ones are locked and which ones are unlocked.

Good news! DevTeam anounced release date for iPhone 3G unlock. It is December 31, 2008. Supported firmware is 2.1, modem baseband 2.11.07 and earlier.
