Motorola wants to prove 11 Apple patents are invalid

motorolas-complaint

Last week Motorola filed another complaint in a U.S. District Court in Delaware. Current company's approach is to invalidate 11 patents that were awarded to NeXT Software and Apple (which are both known to be founded by Steve Jobs).

Tethering settings removed from iPad 4.2 Beta 3

1

Tethering settings were added to 3G iPads after iOS 4.2 beta 2 for iPad was released. It may mean that Apple was going to add iPhone-like tethering to WiFi + 3G models of the iPad. But in newly realized iPad 4.2 beta 3 was discovered that Apple had removed such settings (see picture, earlier the tethering options were under the ‘Cellular Data’ fields). May be we will see these features in new iOS 4.2 in November or may be it was only mistake, and Apple is not planned for a future iPad software release.

Found an early prototype next-gen MacBook Air

1

Last week Engadget posts a single shot of a prototype MacBook Air. The prototype device is labeled "K18". On the picture they found USB plugs on the left and right sides of device, Mini DisplayPort and an SD card reader on the left, and a power plug on the right. The prototype on the picture is the same size and style, has the same "large single mouse button", same 1.86 GHz Core 2 Duo SL9400 processor and 2GB of RAM as the current model of MacBook Air. Engadget’s source claims that the shot was made early in April. Moreover, а new SSD Card storage is rumored to be installed in upcoming MacBook Air. It's possible that such SSD Cards will resemble a stick of RAM.
