Tesla CEO Calls Apple’s Electric Car Project an 'Open Secret'





Tesla CEO Elon Musk has recently called Apple’s electric car project an "open secret". The reason for making such statement about the Cupertino-based tech giant is connected with the number of specialists the company has hired over the last couple of months. In 2015, Apple offered job to hundreds or even thousands engineers, including former Tesla workers, so it’s rather difficult to disagree with Elon Musk.

Piper Jaffray Lowers iPhone Sales Estimates to 55 Million Units for This Quarter



A well-known investment firm Piper Jaffray has recently lowered the expectations for iPhone shipments in the current quarter. In particular, the firm analyst Gene Munster believes that instead of an earlier figure of 62.5 million iPhone units, Apple will sell 55 million iPhones this quarter. Moreover, the estimates for the next quarter are also a bit different. Apple is expected to sell 45 million iPhone units by June, not 48.5 million it was expected to sell previously.

Apple Denies Rumor About Development of App for iPhone to Android Switchers



Earlier this week, a rumor appeared on the Internet suggesting that Apple was developing a special tool for Android switchers. The tool was supposed to be used to transfer contacts, messages, music, videos etc. from a compatible iPhone to an Android phone. The rumor was shared by The Telegraph and became quite popular among the reporters writing tech news.

In reality, Apple doesn’t plan to develop any tools for people switching from iPhones to Android devices. Apple spokesperson denied the rumor and claimed the company is focused only on those who switch from Google’s Android to iOS. This is the usual practice for large smartphone manufacturers.
