Foxconn Manager Has Stolen 5,700 iPhones and Sold Them for $1.5M
A Foxconn manager allegedly working in the testing unit of the factory has been accused of stealing 5,700 iPhone units and selling them for about $1.56 million. He instructed his employees working along with him at the factory in Shenzhen to steal several thousands on iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s units. The devices were illegally sold during 2013-2014. The manager’s name is reportedly Tsai.
Sudden iPhone 6s Shutdowns Are Caused by Mistake in Battery Manufacture
There’s a widespread issue affecting a wide number of iPhone 6s users and causing their devices to power off all of a sudden. In November, Apple acknowledged the problem and launched a free battery replacement program for the devices manufactured between September and October of 2015. On Friday, the company has apologized for the issue and explained what exactly is causing the problem.
Apple Releases iOS 10.2 Beta 5 to Developers
Apple has released iOS 10.2 beta 5 to developers for testing purposes. The latest update has a build number 14C89 and features a number of bug fixes and improvements, mostly for the new TV app that should replace the Videos app. Apple has also added some new wallpapers to the latest version of firmware. It appears there are no new features in this update.
