12-inch MacBook: First Benchmark Results Are Quite Good
Although the ultra-thin 12-inch MacBook, which was officially announced at Apple’s “Spring Forward” media event is yet to be released, earlier this week, first benchmarks showing the performance level of the new laptop appeared on the Internet. According to the result of the tests, in terms of CPU speed, the new MacBook can be compared to the 2011 MacBook Air. According to the latest report shared by a well-known and usually reliable Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, Apple may sell as many as 1 million Apple Watch units in the launch weekend with more than 300.000 units sold in the first 24 hours. Of course, this does not necessarily mean that all of the units purchased over the first days will be immediately shipped to the customers. You see, Apple may see serious constraints at launch due to the strong demand and relatively poor inventory of the wearable device.
Apps on Japanese App Store to Become More Expensive Soon
According to the latest announcement made by Apple, the company will raise the prices on the Japanese App Store within the next 24 hours. Such a step is caused by the fluctuations of the currency exchange rate in this Asian country. The guys from Cupertino say the changes won’t affect active subscribers immediately, however, they will have to pay more to renew their subscriptions for services and to purchase new apps and games. Apple will notify local users either by email, or through the official website.
