Analyst Predicts Completely New Design for iPhone 7 and Some Other Improvements

According to the latest report from usually-reliable Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, Apple will eliminate the Home button from the iPhone 7. Apart from that, the expert believes the next-generation handset will have better battery life and get a sapphire display cover to protect the screen from scratches.

Gene Munster also thinks that Apple may slightly change the design and dimensions of the would-be device. The fingerprint sensor may be moved from the bottom to the side of the device to free up some space that can be used to make the display bigger or to reduce the size of the iPhone 7. The analyst believes Apple stock price will also increase.

Apple's stock is said to have three big catalysts over the next year. A strong holiday quarter driven by new Apple Watch, iPad Pro, and Apple TV products. A shift in upgrade policies by US carriers that will provide a 3% tailwind to units over the next few years, magnifying to 5-7% as other countries follow and anticipation for a more revolutionary iPhone 7.

It is still too early to talk about the specs or the design of the next-generation iPhone as it is still on the early stages of developments. Stay tuned for more rumors about the iPhone 7. We will keep you updated.
