Apple Releases iOS 8.4 Beta 4 with Fixes and Improvements
Apple has recently seeded the fourth iOS 8.4 beta to developers for testing. Probably because of the preparation for the Worldwide Developers Conference, the release came about four weeks after the release of the third iOS 8.4 beta and nearly two months after the release of the very first testing version of iOS 8.4. By the way, this beta is also available for the members of public beta testing program.
iOS 8.4 Beta 4 has a build number 12H4125a and can boast of a number of stability improvements and performance enhancements. The revamped Music app and the operating system in general is currently pretty unstable, so I don’t recommend to install this beta on your main device.
Developers and public testers claim that more and more signs of the yet-to-be-released streaming music service appear in this version of Apple’s mobile operating system. Apart from that, they say Apple has patched the Messages vulnerability that allowed a string of specific characters to crash the app and the iOS device. That’s definitely a piece of good news.
If you have a developer or public beta tester account, you can download the latest iOS 8.4 Beta 4 right now. It is available either as an OTA update or via Apple’s dev portal.
