Facebook Is Planning To Launch iPad App Update With Timeline Feature In Late January

Recently Facebook introduced a new functionality for profiles called Timeline, which, as shown on the company’s promotional video above, places all you interactions, photos, status updates and more on a timeline starting from the opening of your Facebook account.

Timeline works well on the mobile and desktop version of the company’s popular website, and now Facebook wants to bring Timeline to the Facebook app for iPad. This feature was planned to come to the Apple’s tablet in December, but the launch has been delayed due to bugs found during final testing. Facebook is preparing to release the update in the period from mid-January to late January.

In mid-December the company released an update to its application for iPhone and iPod touch. This update included Timeline profile support as well as Friends List support, improved subscriptions management and photo management.

Facebook describes the Multi-Touch version of Timeline as very intuitive and smooth and a fusion of iPhone/iPod and the web versions. Basically, it is a web version optimized for touch screen.
