Is it possible the new iPod nano isn’t running iOS, but isn’t running the old iPod OS, either? The latest firmware has hit Apple’s servers so developers are tearing into it and here’s what Steven Troughton-Smith had to say on Twitter: The nano codename is N20 it appears; also labelled as “1.0″ of the OS. Definitely not iOS. Rusty Mercury also says it’s running on a Samsung S5L8723, a step up from the previous Samsung 8730.

So what is this OS 1.0? something new? Something hybrid?

The biggest mobile trade show in the world, the Mobile World Congress, will host the first-ever Macworld Mobile next February in Barcelona, Spain. The new Macworld Mobile will be focused on developers who create applications for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The event is scheduled for Feb. 14-17, 2011, in Barcelona.

A new updated browser Safari 5.0.2 has been released. It takes 40MB.

This update includes improved compatibility and security, including the following fixes and features:

• The problem preventing users from filling out web forms has been successfully fixed.

• The problem leading to the incorrect display of web content while viewing Google images with Flash 10.1, has been fixed as well.

• The encrypted connection to the Gallery of Safari Extensions has been established.

Today smartphones perform the same functions as our personal computers. They load the websites, take pictures, send and receive e-mails, reproduce high-definition videos and have a lot of other useful features.

Since the iPhone 4 has been launched, many users are eagerly awaiting the new iPhone 5, as they start speculating on what this fruitful company plans to add to its device. What can it really do?

It is obvious that the iPhone 5 should have iOS 5 or 6, which will be pre-installed on it. But let's briefly retreat from reality...

According to the newspaper of Beverly Hills (The Courier), Steve Jobs will get "Lifetime Achievement in Technology" Award on 23^rd of September at Beverly Hilton. It’s going to be the 40th annual ceremony of awards.

We should mention that this award would not be the first one that Steve Jobs has got, as last November he received the award as "CEO of the Decade" and was named "The Best CEO of the World" according to Barron. And this year he has also managed to get into the annual list of the best CEOs of the world.

Steve Jobs has also got the title of "The Best CEO" according to “The Fortune Survey report”. Besides, within three years Apple is being considered "The Most Admired Company of the World", leaving behind such well-known Internet giants, as Microsoft and Google.

Apple have started to ship iPod touch 4 and is sending out shipment notifications. The device became available for pre-ordering after Apple’s Special Music Event last week, on Wednesday, September 1. With iPod touch 4 you’ll get Retina display, 720p video, FaceTime and some iPhone 4 features.

We remember that iOS 4.0 was so slow on our 3G. Late last week, Apple announced, among other things, that iOS 4.1 fixed performance on the iPhone 3G. We put their claim to the test. Here's a great and super-simple mod that turns an iPhone 4 into a portable digital microscope. Using an inexpensive microscope  an SE Mini 45X found on Amazon (seven bucks as of this writing), an iPhone case and some superglue, this user has hacked together a stable, portable digital microscope that also takes pictures.

The iPhone's flat back makes attaching the microscope super easy. After getting it glued to the case, simply snap it onto the iPhone and start observing things close up! For bonus points, pair the iPhone with BlueCam for iPad, which feeds an iPhone 4's live video stream to an iPad via Bluetooth for big-screen observations.

Apple has set up a little history lesson/ timeline in their PR section of all of the iPods and iTunes versions they’ve put out.  They even include hi-definition imagery.

Some users are interested in a little button that is located in the lower right corner of the latest iPod touch screen. What can it be? Is it one of the Photoshop errors by Apple developers? Motorola has taken out yet another full page ad in the New York Times, this time making fun of the iPhone's lack of Flash. The ad reads: "Flash Websites? There's a phone for that. Introducing the new Droid 2 by Motorola." This is obviously a play on the "There's an App for that" slogan used by Apple.
