UnitediPhoneRepair has posted an iPhone 4S drop test video. Of course, the iPhone 4S shares the same external design as the iPhone 4, and yes, it still breaks when dropped on its glass screen.

If network speed means a lot to you, here is a video comparison of iPhone 4S with 3 different network speeds in the US. You can choose between AT&T, Sprint and Verizon. The test shows the loading of websites, video and also runs SpeedTest application on all three networks. Guess, who is the winner.

Yesterday Apple released the long-awaited iOS 5 for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, first-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPod touch, and third-generation iPod touch. An update is also available for the Apple TV, bringing wireless mirroring functionality over AirPlay. To update to the iOS 5 users should install iTunes 10.5 released on Tuesday. Noteworthy it is the last time when Apple provides their users with update with USB. All next updates will be available wirelessly, without the need to use a cable.

The iPhone 4S is still believed to have 512MB of RAM, just like the iPhone 4. The Infinity Blade developer, who suggested that, found out this fact when he tried to demo his game on the new iPhone 4S during last week's keynote.

"I'm still shocked that, with the iPhone 4S, I'm literally running around with a 1080p video camera in my pocket, with an eight megapixel camera, 64GB of hard drive space and an A5 chip with 512MB of memory. This is a really powerful computer, right?

AppVV also confirms that the iPhone 4S has 512MB of RAM. This fact is repeated on their Weibo page as well in response to a question:

Though they don't say how they found out that.

Apple has posted a press release where confirmed that had received more than one million pre-orders of the iPhone 4S in the first 24 hours of availability. In the first 12 hours of the iPhone 4S availability AT&T reported that had received 200,000 pre-orders, Sprit, which also offering the iPhone 4S, said that they were very pleased with initial demand. This is the new record for Apple. The iPhone 4 saw 600,000 pre-orders in 24 hours last year.

Apple today announced pre-orders of its iPhone® 4S have topped one million in a single day, surpassing the previous single day pre-order record of 600,000 held by iPhone 4. iPhone 4S is the most amazing iPhone yet, packed with incredible new features including Apple’s dual-core A5 chip for blazing fast performance and stunning graphics; an all new camera with advanced optics; full 1080p HD resolution video recording; and Siri™, an intelligent assistant that helps you get things done just by asking.

“We are blown away with the incredible customer response to iPhone 4S,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “The first day pre-orders for iPhone 4S have been the most for any new product that Apple has ever launched and we are thrilled that customers love iPhone 4S as much as we do.

While some customers have only begun receiving shipping notices, someone has already got the device and provided video about it.

It is interesting that Siri section in Settings allows choosing between activating voice-based function by pressing the home button or simply by moving your device to your ear.
