Apple TV Loses Ground in the USA Because of Roku and Chromecast





Apple TV set-top box has reportedly begun losing ground as its main rivals, namely, Roku and Chromecast, have become much stronger. According to what was shared by a marketing research firm Parks Associates, Roku streaming media players currently occupy the first place on the U.S. market, Google’s Chromecast sticks stand on the second one and Apple TV boxes are down one position on the third spot.

New OS X 10.8.5 Release Is Around the Corner



A new version of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 is said to be released in the coming days. According to the unidentified sources, the so-called “Supplemental Update” is already being tested by Apple - that means that very soon it will reach the end-users. Brighcover CEO Shares His Views On Apple TV



Today Brighcover CEO Jeremy Allaire shared with AllThingsD his thoughts about what the Apple television may be. There have been many mockups and rumors before, but Allaire posted several new mockups and speculate on one possible route Apple may follow with the television. Allaire said that rather than just launching a 46- and 60-inch TV sets, Apple would also release a companion device.
