Flickr, one of the most popular photo sharing websites, has recently released a report on the most popular camera brands of the last year. According to this report, the most popular brands of 2014 included Canon with 13.4% of photos taken by cameras of this manufacturer, Apple with 9.6%, Nikon with 9.3%, Samsung with 5.6% and Sony with 4.2%. This is how the Top-5 rating looks like.

Peder Norrby, founder of the Swedish computer graphics company Trapdoor, has created a Flickr collection of some artistic and spectacular effects created by automated attempts to map 2D imagery onto 3D topology models in Apple Maps.
Of course, Apple Maps are not alone in some of the more … interesting results. Google Maps also have similar effects caused by the same issue: automated integration of 2D and 3D data without human vetting.

MacRumors reader Michael Rou, who managed to obtain both a pre-production iPhone 5 case and a pre-production iPad mini case, posted the comparison photos on Flickr. Best Buy has decided to carry out a survey related to the rumored Apple’s HDTV powered by iOS that, noteworthy to say, has not been released yet. The questionnaire notes that the 42-inch Apple HDTV "finally reinvents what a TV can do," with a 1080p LED flat panel display, connectivity with iCloud, and the ability to use an iPhone or an iPad as a remote control, and "iSight" camera. Such details, however, look like speculations on the part of Best Buy. Since introducing FaceTime video chat, Apple has referred to its forward-facing cameras as FaceTime cameras, not iSight.
