Apple Sold 7 Million Apple Watch Units, Shipped Only 2.5 Million - Analyst





As noted by Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry, Apple has sold about 7 million Apple Watch units since the launch earlier this year. The number of devices already shipped to customers is noticeably smaller and is equal to only about 2.5 million. Apple Became World's Largest Smartphone Maker in Q4 2014 - Gartner



According to the latest report from a research firm Gartner, in the fourth quarter of 2014 ending December, Apple managed to sell more smartphones than its main rival, Samsung. This allowed the company from Cupertino to become the largest smartphone maker in the world. As to the numbers, Apple sold as many as 74.8 million iPhone units and the South Korean manufacturer - 73 million smartphones. Apple got the market share of 20.4%, while the share of Samsung was equal to 19.9%.

Apple Makes Browser Version of iWork Available for All Users for Free



Apple has recently made the browser version of its office suite called iWork available for all users. iOS and Android Account for 96.3% Smartphone Market Share in Q4 2014



According to the latest report from a research firm called IDC, the combined smartphone market share of iOS and Android accounted for 96.3% in the fourth quarter. Apple’s share managed to reach 19.7% and the share of Android equalled to 76.6%. Just for you to compare: n the last quarter of 2013, Apple’s iOS grabbed 17.5% of the smartphone market and Google’s Android occupied 78.2%. As you probably know, Apple is expected to announce its financial results in the first fiscal quarter of 2015 on Tuesday, January 27th. Today, a new report has been released by the Financial Times reporters, which suggests that the guys from Cupertino may have sold more iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units in China than in the USA in the last quarter. This happened for the first time in the history of the company. According to what the analysts predict, Apple's iPhone and Mac sales in the holiday quarter have set a new record in the history of the company. Chinese Thieves Steal 240 iPhones 6 from Beijing Warehouse



Back in December, three thieves stole 240 iPhone 6 units from a warehouse in China. I must admit, they did this in a rather unusual way. According to what Xinhua News Agency reporters write, three men dug a 20-inch hole beneath the wall of the warehouse in Beijing and took 240 iPhone 6 units with total value of about $230.000 (1.4 million yuan). Although this extraordinary event took place between December 12th ad 13th, Chinese press announced it publicly only today.
