Apple to Release New iMacs This Quarter - Ming-Chi Kuo

According to the latest report from usually-reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is planning to release several brand new iMac models with better displays and more efficient processors this quarter. It is currently unknown whether the guys from Cupertino will refresh the entire lineup of iMacs, or only release an updated 21.5-inch or 27-inch Retina iMac.

Last year, Apple released an iMac with a 5K display. Still, if to speak about a more substantial update, it took place only in September 2013. You see, Apple could have released new iMacs much earlier, however, the lack of Intel’s Broadwell processors made the update impossible or nearly impossible.

Here’s what Ming-Chi Kuo writes about the upcoming iMac lineup update:

We believe Apple will introduce new iMac models in 3Q15, which are expected to have key selling points such as more powerful processors and much better display quality. We predict the panel will use a LED phosphor material called KSF to notably boost color saturation.

Apart from the new lineup of iMacs, Apple is expected to unveil several other devices later this year. These devices include new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, iPad mini 4 and possibly iPad Air 3. We may also see a brand new 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Stay tuned for more rumors about Apple’s products and their release dates.
