iPhone Kills Man Who Was Charging It While Being in Bath



A 32-year-old man from London died because of the iPhone that he was charging while taking a bath. The phone was plugged in and the part of charging cable fell into the water. The man was electrocuted and paramedics were unable to save his life. The incident took place in December, 2016.

Developer Teases Untethered iOS 10.3 Jailbreak



A developer nicknamed 0xnever has announced on Twitter that he will soon release an untethered jailbreak of iOS 10.3, which is currently being tested by developers and public testers. According to the hacker, his tool will turn the semi-tethered Yalu jailbreak into a fully untethered with just one tap. Looks like there are many vulnerabilities in the latest iOS version that can be used to hack it.

Apple to Build Additional R&D Centers in China



Apple is planning to build two additional R&D centers in China in 2017. Earlier it was announced that two similar centers will open in Beijing and Shenzhen, but the company decided that it needs two more facilities for its major market. They will be located in Shanghai and Suzhou. Apple will spend over $500 million on the Chinese research and development centers.

Check Out This Vintage iPhone 7 Plus Retro Edition for $1899



A firm called ColorWare has created a new custom iPhone 7 Plus model called the iPhone 7 Plus Retro Edition. The device is the unlocked 256GB iPhone 7 Plus with a colorful Apple logo on the back panel and the paint color reminiscent of old Macintosh computers from 1980s. There’re also several stripes on the sides of the device, they resemble cooling vents of old computers. The price of this custom-made iPhone is $1899.

iPhone 8 Display Won’t Be as Curved as Galaxy S7 Edge Display



The next-generation iPhone may get a new 'gentler' curved display than the display of the Galaxy S7 Edge. This will be an AMOLED display, however, its edges will be curved only slightly as it is difficult to produce a matching curved glass cover. Thanks to the new screen, the active viewable area of the iPhone 8 display will be 5.2-inches. The report comes from usually reliable Nikkei analysts.
