Apple Asks Developers to Classify Their Apps by Age Range





Apple has reportedly asked the developers that are working on the applications for children under 11 years of age to classify their products in one of three age ranges: ages 5 and under, ages 6-8 and ages 9-11. Such classification will surely help parents to choose the appropriate content for their children after the special "Kids" category appears on App Store this fall.

Google+ iOS App Updated with New Features



Google+ app for iOS was updated yesterday with the Hangouts and Google Drive support and some other useful features. Now it is much easier to communicate with friends, store, edit and share photos and access your account. The full list of improvements looks as follows:

  • View, edit, and share photos stored in Google Drive
  • Google Apps domain support: restrict posts to the domain, domain icons to identify members
  • Hangouts app replaces Messenger for messaging and video calls. Visit Google Takeout to download your Messenger data.

The version 4.5.0 is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. It requires iOS 6.0 or later.

One can get this no doubt useful app from the App Store for free.

Apple is currently in search of workers in China, reports the WSJ. The company needs something about 200 specialists for senior roles as well as many lower-rank employees. The highest position a candidate can currently apply for is environmental affairs program manager.

The new Apple TV to launch in November?



According to venture capitalist and former TechCrunch reporter MG Siegler, Apple is likely to be planning a television product for launch in November. He made the following comments on John Gruber's podcast, "Mule Radio".

Not to go into rumor central here but the latest things like I've heard are some sort of television product — not necessarily a television screen but something — could be coming as soon as this November. And I think there's some surprises there about what it could actually be and I don't for sure what it could actually be but there's been whispers about, so I'm not going to write anything about it, but there's whispers out there that the interaction with it could be the interesting thing. People have talked about voice, but I think that's out the window and there might be some new way to interact with whatever this thing is.

New Apple's iWatch Concept



We all know that Apple will release a new product called iWatch and that this will happen no sooner that the next year. The 2013 iPhone Photography Awards



The results of the 2013 iPhone Photography Awards have recently been announced.

The unique feature of the competition is that the photographers are only permitted to submit images taken with an iPhone or iPod touch. No special programs such as PhotoShop are allowed. The only programs permissible are those available on iPhone/iPod such as Hipstamatic, CameraBag, etc.

Have a look at the winners of the award in different categories. Each of them received an iPad mini.
