Leaked videos reveal new 'PlayStation Phone'
Last week two hands-on videos have been posted on YouTube revealing the new Sony Ericsson's 'PlayStation Phone'.
As it can be seen from the video, the device called Zeus has slide-out physical controls like in Sony PSP but with rumored multi-touch touchpad, 4-inch display and runs on Android "Gingerbread" 2.3.
Earlier Engadget posted leaked photos of the device and it was told that 'PlayStation Phone' has 1GHz Qualcomm chip, 5MP camera, 512 MB of RAM, and 1 GB of internal storage.
Second video verifies that the smartphone has Playstation functionality with showing the "Playstation" icon, but there are no "content items" that can be displayed.
The partnership between Google's Android, Sony Ericsson smartphones and Sony's Playstation Portable platform may lead to creating a really strong competitor for iOS as a gaming platform. Sony became interested in that after Apple started aggresively pushing its iOS devices as gaming devices thus eating Sony's market share.
