The first 27-inch iMac orders are executed at the moment
This week, the first orders of Apple's 27-inch iMac models have already started arriving to the customers. Several readers have reported today they received orders sbefore the estimated delivery date scheduled for 13th December.
Apple announced the new iMac at its press conference on October 23, but noted that the supply of 21.5-inch models would not begin until November, and 27-inch ones until December. Apple began taking orders for both sizes on 30th November, and the shipping time of 27-inch models was equal to 2-3 weeks at that time.
Device availability remains limited, because Apple is reportedly working to achieve an acceptable display assembly, which consists of thin layers. Assembling the larger 27-inch monitors seems more difficult than smaller displays, making supplies of 27-inch iMac difficult.
