Apple to Release iTunes Store for Android and Launch Music Streaming Service?
Apple is currently thinking about launching an iTunes Store app for Android, Billboard reports. Apart from that, the guys from Cupertino may soon start working on a new subscription-based music streaming service. The main reason for such radical actions is quite obvious: U.S. digital album sales have recently started to fall.
As noted in the original
Apple has opened exploratory talks with senior label executives about the possibility of launching an on-demand streaming service that would rival Spotify and Beats Music, according to three people familiar with the talks. Apple is also thinking about adding an iTunes App for Android phones, the Google rival that has been growing faster than the iPhone, these sources said.
As you probably know, music streaming services have become immensely popular all over the world. They give access to millions of songs for a reasonable price, that is why more and more people choose Spotify, Pandora, iTunes Radio or whatever else instead of purchasing separate songs or albums.
