Purported Battery for 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Appears in Video
Following a leaked image showing a 2.915 mAh battery for the upcoming 5.5-inch iPhone 6 that appeared on the Internet last week, a new video was shared today by a French website called Nowhereelse.fr, which shows us that same part for Apple's handset. The leaked part looks genuine and goes in line with all the previous rumors about the device. Moreover, the French reporters cite Chinese supply chain insiders in their post, so I think we can believe the video, which is, by the way, available below.
The capacity of the battery for the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 differs greatly from the capacity of the current-generation iPhone 5s (1.560 mAh) as well as from the purported capacity of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, which is 1.810 mAh.
Following a photo of the component last week, a video shared by Nowhereelse.fr (Google Translate) once again shows what is said to be a 2,915 mAh battery from the 5.5-inch iPhone 6. The battery shown is also shown carrying an Apple part number of 616-0675, and running at 4.35 volts, which is also in line with previous leaks.
The guys from Cupertino will officially unveil their new handset tomorrow. According to what people familiar with the matter write, Apple will show us the 4.7-inch and possibly the 5.5-inch iPhone 6. The smaller handset will become available for customers about a week after the official release. If to speak about the larger device, it will reportedly hit the store shelves much later.
