Appellancy: Tweak that Allows to Unlock iOS Devices Using Face Recognition
A new iOS 7 tweak called Appellancy has recently appeared on Cydia. It allows iPhone, iPod touch and iPad owners to unlock their devices using facial recognition. The creator of the tweak is named Elijah Frederickson.
I must admit that Appellancy is more secure than any other suchlike tweak. And here's what the creator writes about it:
What makes Appellancy so much more secure is that it, by default, includes a database entry of random faces to populate a deny entry. This causes Appellancy to deny nearly any face except yours. By enhancing this database and the facial recognition methods in the future it will become even more secure.
Apart from the tweak itself, Frederickson offers developers a simple API to integrate facial integration into their apps.
Appellancy is available on Cydia Store for $1.99.
