Every third non-AT&T client would like to have an iPhone
According to a new survey, released this Friday by ChangeWave, every third U.S. smartphone buyer on carriers other than AT&T wishes he could have bought Apple's iPhone.
The aim of the survey was to study what exactly smartphone the customers want to buy next time. As it have been revealed many times before, most of the iPhone's owners are happier than any other group of smartphone users as they are "very satisfied" with their purchase.
46% of 1,212 respondents from the USA would like to stick with their current handset, but another 34% who are not using AT&T services would like to have an iPhone.
It is interesting that only 39% of all the Motorola smartphone users are satisfied with their purchase, and as much as 37% would have preferred to buy an iPhone.
The survey also confirmed that most of the iPhone 4 users have become happier than they were when they bought the iPhone 3GS. 84% of 32GB iPhone 4 users and 78% of 16GB iPhone users are "very satisfied" with their purchase. For comparison, there were only 55% of people who bought Android-based Samsung Galaxy S and became "very satisfied" with their device. All other Samsung models owners gave 28% overall rating of those who also were very satisfied with their purchase.
Earlier in November another ChangeWave's report revealed that the iPad's popularity decreases the interest in netbooks, and that 80% of those who'd like to have a tablet are most likely to buy an iPad. In September the company found that the iPhone was just as popular with consumers as all the handsets running Android.
