LG Started Mass Production Of Displays Based On The In-Cell Technology

According to Reuters, South Korean company LG Display has announced that they started mass production of new thinner displays that are widely expected to be for use in the next-generation iPhone.

Also the report reiterates rumors that the next iPhone will have 4-inch display and incorporate in-cell technology to use touch sensors directly in the screen, thus decreasing the thickness of the display.

Today The Wall Street Journal published a similar report, noting that on Wednesday, head of LG Display Han Sang-beom said to reporters:

“We had some hard times (in developing the new in-cell technology) at first ... but it seems those hard times have finally ended”.

The in-cell technology is the industry's latest development. (But) we will be able to supply the panels without any fail”.
