Users complain of the rapid consumption of the battery after upgrading to iOS 6.0.2

The recently released update of IOS 6.0.2 for the iPhone 5 and IPad mini, could solve some of the issues associated with Wi-Fi, but some users say that the software reduced battery life.

Several readers contacted the AppleInsider, to say that they have noticed "poorer” battery life on their iPhone after upgrading to IOS 6.0.2. In particular, one reader said that he noticed a "significantly faster" battery consumption. In addition, a small number of users have created a topic on the official support forum of Apple (via Ars Technica) to share their issues with battery in firmware 6.0.2.

"It is absolutely draining my battery," user 'atdguy' wrote. "I can usually get through a day with about 75% of my battery power remaining. Today I've gone through 90% and I've done nothing special with it."

Other publications on the Apple's site said that iOS 6.0.2 has the purpose to eliminate questions with Wi-Fi connection. A software update that was released on Tuesday, was designed to address previous defects in Wi-Fi for iPhone and iPad mini.

All of the users who commented or wrote by e-mail, say they have questions pertaining to battery life in their iPhone 5. However, battery problems did not mentioned in iOS 6.0.2 with the iPad mini.
