AirPords to Hit Market in December - Analysts

According to data shared by Barclays analysts, Apple will start shipping the long-awaited wireless AirPods in December. The rumor contradicts an earlier report based on the information from an employee of one German reseller who claimed that the headphones will hit the store shelves on November 18 or 19.

The first batch of AirPods will include only about 10-15 million devices with more to come later.

"We did hear that the AirPods should finally start production in December but units are fairly small at 10-15M to start," Barclays researcher Blayne Curtis and team wrote in a note distributed to clients on Friday.

Apple announced AirPods in September, during the media event dedicated to the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Initially, the company planned to start selling the devices in October, but didn’t meet the deadline due to problems with the production.

Many insiders believe that Apple may launch new headphones only next year, but hopefully, this is not true.
