Apple May Sell Up to 60 Million iWatch Units in First 12 Months After Launch

According to what Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty writes, in the first year after launch, Apple may sell up to 60 million iWatch units. The long-anticipated smartwatch is expected to lure new customers to the company and improve its market share greatly.

She sees a range of 30 million to 60 million "iWatch" units being sold in the first 12 months of availability. Her models assume an average selling price of $300 and gross margins between 40 percent and 50 percent.

Apple’s iWatch is expected to be launched later this year. The long-anticipated wearable device will boast of a number of sensors capable of monitoring user’s physical activity and health. Apart from that, latest mockups and concepts suggest that the smartwatch will likely get a 2.5-inch screen.

To be honest, I don’t know whether all these rumors are true or not. We’ll see at the end of this year.
