TechCrunch points to a post from Italian Fanpage saying that Apple intends to purchase a small Italian software company Redmatica that develops audio editing apps such as AutoSampler and Keymap Pro.

Evidence of the purchase has been revealed in the weekly bulletin of Italy’s antitrust regulatory body AGCM. The most relevant portion of the bulletin published on May 28 said (English translation):

“Under the provisions of the contract "Asset Purchase Agreement Relating to the business as an ongoing concern of Redmatica S.r.l." (hereinafter the Agreement) with the present operation, Apple intends to acquire, through a transfer of assets, the business Redmatica”.

AGCM decided that the proposed purchase would not be anticompetitive taking into account the relatively small sizes of the companies in that specific market and many competitors. Consequently, AGCM does not object to this deal.
