Apple Seeds OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta 3 to Developers
Apart from making iOS 9 Beta 3 available for developers, the guys from Cupertino have recently seeded the third pre-release version of OS X 10.11 El Capitan. Just as iOS 9 beta, the latest version of Apple’s desktop operating system has been released two weeks after the release of the previous beta, which contained a number of security and stability improvements.
OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta 3 has a build number 15A216g and contains fixes for several bugs. There are also two noticeable enhancements, namely, the support of the revamped two-factor authentication introduced with iOS 9 beta 3 and the redesigned Photos app featuring new folders called Selfies and Screenshots.
Generally speaking, El Capitan is an under-the-hood update aimed at making Apple’s desktop operating system more stable and efficient. Apart from performance enhancements, it can also boast of some minor design tweaks.
If you have a registered developer account, you can download and test the third beta version of OS X 10.11 El Capitan right now. It is available either from Apple’s dev portal, or through the Software Update mechanism of the Mac App Store. Never install pre-release software on your main computer.
