Apple to Launch Updated iPad Air in 2014, iPad Pro and New iPad mini to Come in 2015

According to usually reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple won’t release its widely-rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro and the next-generation iPad mini this year. Instead, the guys from Cupertino will show us an updated iPad Air, equipped with a new Apple A8 processor and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

Here’re some words from the original report (via MacRumors):

We believe Apple plans to launch upgraded iPad Air early this year, and will accelerate development of 12.9” iPad.

All told, we think chances of the debut of a new iPad mini in 2H14 are slim. In addition, the 12.9” iPad is unlikely to be offered in 2014. For these reasons, we predict the only new iPad product in 2H14 will be the upgraded iPad Air.

Kuo admits that there’re some chances that Apple will release iPad Pro late this year. However, if this happens, the company from Cupertino is likely to encounter supply constraints.
