Apple Watch: New Bands, watchOS 2.2 and Price of $299
Aside from making new builds of iOS 9.3, OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan, watchOS 2.2 and tvOS 9.2 available for download and announcing two new devices, the 4-inch iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, Apple has also made some minor updates to the Apple Watch.
In particular, now Apple’s first-ever wearable device can boast of a variety of new bands starting from $49, a tweaked watchOS 2.2 that allows to pair several smartwatches to a single iPhone and has some other improvements and a brand new price of $299 for the base 38mm model. Prior to the media event, the cheapest 38mm Apple Watch had a price tag of $349.

This represents a $50 price drop from the launch $349 price for Apple Watch. Note however, that Apple Watch has been seeing significant $100 discounts in many retail outlets for a while now. Still, this is a nice change for those who buy direct from Apple.com.
