Avid announces its new audio and video production hardware
Avid announced new versions of the Media Composer 7 and Pro Tools 11- editing video and audio production applications, as well as two new Mac and iOS compatible hardware interface for burning audio at home or on the road.
In addition to a number of new features, Media Composer 7 gains a significant reduction in cost, making the basic option has the value of $ 1000, instead $ 2500. It will be available in June.
ProTools 11, which Avid describes as "a quantum leap in creative efforts,” will receive an updated audio engine and a 64-bit architecture. Basic option of Pro Tools 11 is available for $ 700, with improvements, costing from $ 300 to $ 500, depending on the previous version of Pro Tools acquired earlier. The new version should be available later this quarter.
Fast Track Solo and Duo include Pro Tools Express for recording and editing audio on the Mac, and the ability to connect directly with 30-pin connector on the old iOS-hardware and to newer iOS devices via the 30-pin Lightning adapter.
Solo provides one microphone preamp and one instrument input and Duo provides two mic preamp/instrument inputs, and two line inputs.
