Apple has created a special version of the App Store for the iPad. Now you can choose what App Store you prefer by switching the toggle at the top of the page, so there is no problem with iPad and iPhone apps distinguishing anymore.

The iBooks is now avaliable in the Apple AppStore for free. It comes with Winnie the Pooh and the ability to sample any book in the store before buying. For now it is US-only and iPad-only, global editions are expected in the near future.

Rumors say Apple might build versions for iPhone/iPod Touch and even Mac in the future.

Today Apple updated the App Store, adding a new feature which showcases the 'App of the Week' for both the iPhone and iPad.

This week we can see Ngmoco's We Rule for iPhone and MLB at Bat 2010 for iPad.

Apple released a new iPhone commercial entitled 'Commute'. Like other recent ads, 'Commute' features three App Store applications:

• MassTransit ($3.99)
• Here, File File! ($9.99)
• WSJ - The Wall Street Journal (Free)

There are so many applications written for the iPhone. How much are there for the Apple iPad? 9to5mac published a video of AppStore running on the iPad where we can see 700 already approved apps:

Macstories published another interesting video about iPad App Store. It covers some interesting iPad applications: New York Times, AP, NASDAQ, Twittelator.

Recently KTS S.C. has announced the release of their app for iPod Touch and iPhone named Kiosko.net 1.0. It is a visual daily press directory that helps you to access the world's largest news web-resources wherever you are. Moreover, the app brings the images of around 1200 newspapers frontpages directly to your device. Few finger taps and you'll reach newspaper you wish.

Other features include navigation ads, powerful search, favorites management tool and, of course, social networks integration. Kiosko.net can even download and save newspaper frontpage's so you will be able to read them even if you're not connected to the network.

Kiosko.net 1.0 is available all over the world for $1.99. You can download it here from the iTunes App Store.

InfoXenter released the first Twitter app for iPad that have been already approved by Apple and it is called Twitepad. It will be available on the device since its release on April 3rd.

Because of a larger screen size InfoXenter developed a built-in web-browser, multiple tweet-columns and provided an unlimited number of Twitter accounts support. Other features look good too. For more information check the video above.

This morning Digg released their official iPhone app. It allows you to browse and interact with the popular news aggregator. You can view the top, recent and upcoming stories in any category; clicking a headline will lead to a built-in browser that will display a requested page. At the bottom of the screen you'll find a buttons to Digg or Bury (like or dislike) the story, Save The Story button (for this you need to be logged in with your Digg account), and an option of sharing the link. The latter is pretty convenient, as you can send the story to the Email, Twitter, Facebook or to the iPhone's clipboard.

A few days ago Opera Mini browser was sent to Apple for the review. While waiting anxiously for the Apple's decision we have found an interesting video from IntoMobile. It compares the speed of Safari and Opera Mini browsers. Which one do you think is faster?

PadGadget did some research of the the iTunes database last night and found that Apple has already approved and listed several iPad apps in the AppStore. The names use HD (High Definition) in the title to signify the bigger 9.7 inch, 1024×768 pixel iPad display. Here is a quick list of what was found:

• Ammoin HD
• Azkend HD
• Flight Control HD
• Grind HD
• HD Recovery
• Labyrinth 2 HD
• NBA Hotshot HD
• Numba HD
• Plants vs. Zombie HD
• Sparkle HD
• Worms HD

You won’t find any of these iPad titles using your standard iTunes browser, you need to use Apple’s more recent web interface to find the new titles mixed in with the thousands of regular iPhone and Touch titles.

UPDATE: Apple has corrected the iTunes Preview site and HD iPad titles are no longer listed.
