MegaFon Signs a Deal with Apple to Sell iPhones in Russia

According to the latest rumors, one of the Russia’s largest carriers, MegaFon, has signed a three-year contract with Apple. What that means is that MegaFon will soon start selling iPhones in its retail stores all over the country making the handsets available for as many as 143 million people.

Megafon wasn’t alone in its opposition to Apple: as of the middle of 2013, none of Russia’s three largest carriers sold iPhones in their retail outlets.

So, if you live in Russia and currently thinking about purchasing an iPhone, wait a bit to buy it from the official reseller.
