New FaceTime Bug and How to Get Rid of It

A new bug has been recently discovered that makes FaceTime unusable. The bug affects devices running iOS 6.

According to a new support document released by Apple, those iOS 6 users who encountered problems with FaceTime should upgrade to iOS 7.0.4 or later if their devices support such upgrade. In case you have a gadget, which doesn't support iOS 7, you need to update it to iOS 6.1.6.

Here's what Apple writes about the problem (via MacRumors):

If you started to have issues making or receiving FaceTime calls after April 16, 2014, your device or your friend's device may have encountered a bug resulting from a device certificate that expired on that date. Updating both devices to the latest software will resolve this issue.

So, if FaceTime on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch has become inaccessible, you should update your device. Everything's simple, right?
