Redesigned iOS App Switcher Will Soon Come To Cydia

Apple has given little attention to updating the app switcher in its iOS since its introduction in iOS 4, so interface designer @Sentry_NC has tried his hand at developing a new concept for fast app switching in iOS.

In October, he introduced a mockup of iOS app switcher on The Verge forum, which takes advantage of the elongated screen on the iPhone 5 and provides easy access to app management tools and settings.

Although originally it was designed as a concept, now the Auxo app switcher for iOS has become a reality as a tweak for jailbroken devices after Sentry collaborated with two app developers.

Auxo app switcher allows users to control apps using simple touch gestures. iDownloadBlog posted a video above demonstrating how Auxo works.

Though this Cydia tweak may be limited only to jailbroken iOS devices, it serves as a good example of the improvements that Apple could made in future versions of iOS. Currently Auxo is not available, but soon it will come to Cydia for jailbroken Apple’s iOS 6 devices.
