Shipments Of iPad mini And New iMac Will Be Constrained Until 2013



According to DigiTimes, shipments of the iMac and iPad mini are expected to be limited in 2012 due to display production issues.

Reportedly, the panels for the iPad mini have seen low yield rates. As a result, Apple may fall short of 10 million target and reach only 6 million mark for the shipments of the iPad mini in the fourth quarter.

iOS Moved Android Into Second Spot In US Smartphone Market



By virtue of iPhone 5 sales, iOS reached the top spot on the smartphone market in the United States, according to research company Kantar Worldpanel Comtech. According to the report covering smartphone sales over the 12-week period ending October 28, iOS accounts for 48.1% of the smartphone market in the U.S (up 25% year-over-year) and has officially moved Android into second spot.

Apple paid 21 million $ to use a clock designed at the Swiss Railway station.



Saturday's report claims that Apple had to pay about $ 21 million to obtain a license for a clock that is used in iOS 6 operating system. Design is made in the style of Swiss railway station. According to the global news agency AFP, Apple has agreed to pay $ 21 million to the train service, known as SBB, in order to obtain clock design in iOS 6 on the iPad.
