Tim Cook Commemorates Steve Jobs on 4th Anniversary of His Death, Sends Email to Employees





Apple CEO Tim Cook has earlier today sent an email to employees to commemorate Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs, who passed away four years ago. The internal company email has been obtained by The Telegraph reporters and then reposted by a number of tech websites across the world. It is currently unclear how the email sent to employees has become available for public.

Apple Remains World’s Most Valuable Brand in 2015



According to the latest data shared by a research firm Interbrand, Apple remains the most valuable brand in the world. The first place in the annual rating has been occupied by the Cupertino company since 2013, when Apple surpassed a long-time leader, Coca-Cola, and took the lead. As noted by the experts, Apple value is now equal to $170.27 billion. That’s an increase of $51.4 billion or as many as 43% in comparison with the last year’s results.

Skype Finally Gets iOS 9 Support



The Skype app both for iPhone and iPad has been recently updated with the support of iOS 9 and a number of other minor improvements. These improvements include the ability to start a chat right from the Spotlight search menu and such new features as Quick Reply, Split View and Slider Over for iPad.

Apple Acquires Firm VocalIQ, Possibly Plans to Improve Siri



According to the latest report from the Financial Times reporters, Apple has recently acquired a firm called VocalIQ. This company, which is quite famous in tech circles for creating a self-learning dialogue API, is located in the United Kingdom. Looks like in the nearest future Apple plans to improve its virtual voice assistant.

Apple Stops Signing iOS 8.4.1, Downgrades and Restores are Impossible Now



Following the releases of iOS 9, iOS 9.0.1 and iOS 9.0.2 to users worldwide, Apple has finally stopped signing iOS 8.4.1. This means that restores and downgrades to this version of Apple’s operating system are no longer possible. And that’s not very good since iOS 9 seems to be quite glitchy. Apple Officially Releases Second Public OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan Beta



Following the releases of iOS 9.0.2 and OS X 10.11 El Capitan to users worldwide, Apple on Thursday seeded the second OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan beta to the members of the public beta testing program.
